We are looking to find this family either one or two (job share) carers for their son (I) who is 13. (I) is non-verbal (enjoys using VOCA), has global developmental delay, requires all care, is fed by NG tube, has cortical visual impairment, and uncontrolled epilepsy. He requires all help, including personal care. He can be very cheeky and vocal! (I) loves music, sensory play, stories and swimming (very warm water), batths and disasters! (I) has periods of acute illness. (I) has a sister (M) who is 10, but care will be predominently with (I). The family are offering a very attractive package which can include (if required) completely separate accommodation - either a two beroom flat or a house (this needs a little work doing to it, while the flat doesn't). Both are very close to the family home. The family are very open to the carer living in the accommodation with a partner. If the accommodation is required, the wage will be (a mere!) £30 less per week. The family can offer various shifts and require someone who can be very flexible. The main hours are before and after school, weekends, some overnights and school holidays. (I) has had periods of acute illness when he is unable to attend school. Additional hours are available if someone is happy to do other duties such as housekeeping, helping with (M), looking after the pets and dog walking!
