Technical Team Manager
A Leading Chilled Food Manufacturer is currently seeking an Assistant Quality Manager to join their team You will be responsible for managing a Team leader and 5 QA operatives.
Responsibilities include:
To direct and control the operations within their area of responsibility to ensure that all targets are met within the specified quality standards.
To ensure that operations are carried out safely, to meet the requirements of health and safety and food safety legislation.
To be committed to continuous improvement in efficiency and standards of performance of their department and staff.
Is responsible for all aspects of Total Quality Management (T.Q.M) and related aspects of Food safety, Legality, Quality, Housekeeping and Hygiene on a shift basis
The role is responsible for management of the health and safety performance of employees in the department, covering each activity or process within the department.
To direct and control the operations within their area of responsibility to ensure that all targets are met within the specified quality standards.
To ensure that the quality of service and materials from supporting departments are highly satisfactory, and to provide a quality service to internal and external customers.
To ensure that the welfare standards and training of department employees meet company requirements. To encourage all employees, through good performance management, to fulfil their potential. To ensure that company policy and procedures are followed in the management of employees.
To actively seek to maintain the serviceability of plant and equipment, ensuring that it is used correctly by department employees.
To actively seek to improve the company's profitability and site contribution through effective department performance.
To develop understanding of TQM across site
To reduce customer complaints
To promote good Hygiene and housekeeping standards
Ideally you will have a minimum of three years food Industry experience.
A proven track record in the management of teams and a recognised food hygiene qualification (Intermediate level) an understanding and determination towards health and safety and a full UK driving licence will be essential.
