An opportunity has now arisen for a Warehouse Team Leader / Distribution Team Leader to join their team.

For this position our client is looking to recruit someone with a distribution/warehouse background and strong leadership skills. And because the company’s policy is to promote within, there’ll be ample opportunity to develop your career.

As a Warehouse Team Leader / Distribution Team Leader you’ll be responsible for achieving shift/weekly work targets by effectively motivating and utilising the team.

Your main duties will include:

- Managing the team and maintaining a high standard of communication
- Improving operational performance in service, costs and colleagues
- Liaising with the Planning department to ensure availability
- Controlling and allocating work, monitoring progress and keeping management informed
- Assisting with the recruitment of future team members, coaching staff and arranging training

To be considered for this position you must have experience in a distribution or warehouse environment, coupled with a track record in supervising, team leading or management. Ideally, you will also hold English and Maths GCSEs (or equivalent).

As a Warehouse Team Leader / Distribution Team Leader you will also need a highly organised approach, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interpret and analyse data. You should also be a good communicator with the ability to understand basic budgets and cost controls.
