Our client requires a pre school group leader to work 40 hours per week commencing in July. The ideal candidate must hold either a degree in Early Childhood Studies or be NVQ 4 in Early Years or equivalent and will have had previous experience in leading a team of people. 
 
The ideal candidate will hold the Early Years Professional status; however if the applicant does not then external training will be provided to achieve this status with paid time off for study.

Duties will include:
·          Aiding employees within the nursery in integrating the Early Years Foundation stage into the nursery.
·          To assist the nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in care.
·          To assist the base room manager in base room management activities such as training, organising themes and projects, and monitoring students.
·          To ensure all daily routines are carried out and records kept up to date.
·          To assist in maintaining a safe, clean and tidy base room.
·          To ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented into the nursery.
·          To communicate with parents and other visitors in a calm, friendly and effective manner.
·          To contribute to and participate in team meetings/activities.
