Due to the never-ending list of things that get broken while running a pub, a position has become available for a full-time handy man in our two sites, Totterdown and city centre.

Skills, talents and knowledge of the following would be advantageous;

Plumbing - General plumbing skills from changing washers, taps and broken pipe work etc to bleeding radiator systems, connecting new radiators, installing pipe work and finding/solving leeks.

Electrics - General electrical skills from testing equipment, changing lights, installing new sockets through to fault finding, fixing equipment and rewiring.

Building - stud work, plastering, demolition, clearance and tiling.

Painting and decorating - is almost on-going so the patience to sand, prepare and paint.

Carpentry - changing locks, hanging doors, installing frames, shelves etc to fitting kitchens and building furniture.

Don’t worry if you are not adept at all of the skills above. Specialist trades will always be brought in for specific jobs but obviously the more skills you have, the better your chances.

This is a full time position (approx 40hrs) with all of the benefits that go with it. Salary will be negotiable depending upon experience and suitability to the job. A driving licence would be an advantage and checkable working references are essential.
