Electro Optical Systems Engineer
£35,000

Our client, a world leader in defence manufacturing, is looking to recruit an Electro Optical Systems Engineer to undertake all aspects of the Electro Optical Countermeasures Group work including system characterisation, HWIL simulation, trials and general study work.

Main duties include:
Carry out work for special projects including specific support to EO investigations.
Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority.
Responsible for design and build of support equipment both mechanical and electronic.
Formation of software and hardware control for operation of Real Time systems.
Operation of the simulators and participation in field trials.
Carry out a full range of technical analyses and problem solving activities and prepare technical reports and presentations to support findings.

Successful candidates will have prior experience in an EO technical environment or Electronics skills with a qualification to degree level in a relevant discipline ie. Physics, Electronics or Mathematics. Good problem solving, communication, report writing and presentation skills are essential for this role.

In return our client will offer a salary of £35,000 with company benefits including 25 days holiday and pension.
