The Company:

The company are an independent Consultancy with increasing workload looking to strengthen their Structural Engineering Design team. This is a strong firm looking to continue steady growth in the civil and structural engineering consultancy sector. They offer a secure position with a diverse range of projects including, regional, national and international work in the commercial, residential, domestic, retail, industrial, leisure, education and health sectors.

The Role:

You will be required to produce general arrangements (GAs) and detail drawings for tender and construction on a varied range of building structures from engineers specifications. This will be achieved using AutoCAD, as well as other industry specific software. Structures will be designed in all materials: steel, timber, masonry and reinforced concrete (RC). You will also be required to conduct site visits, liaise with clients and advise contractors during the construction process.

The Person:

Must have strong professional experience of structural draughting on building structures in steel and concrete and be qualified to minimum HNC level in civil engineering or related subject. Must be proficient in AutoCAD, with a good understanding of construction processes and how buildings ‘go together'.
