The Better Food Cafe is based within Bristol's well-known organic emporium The Better Food Company, were fresh, seasonal, organic ingredients direct the menu. BFC are also growers, so the 'plot to plate' message is particularly key.

We're looking for a dedicated foodie to work a 40 hour week on a 5 day shift pattern to include weekends and bank holidays. Shifts will vary in times from 7am to 10pm.

You will:
- Be responsible for leading the St Werburghs café team members and ensuring all team members are working efficiently and effectively.
- Be responsible for designing menu items and ensuring all displays are full, appealing and seasonal.
- Be responsible for ensuring the customer’s experience of the Better Food Company is second to none and all team members are dealing with all questions and customer interactions quickly and effectively.
- Be responsible for ensuring food standards are at their highest at all times and will be directing team members to make sure the required standard is presented consistently.
- Responsible for ensuring the team feels comfortable and empowered in their roles and that they are working together as a team.
- Be responsible for health and safety and food hygiene.
- Be recruiting new team members and assessing current team members as required.
- Work closely with the store general manager managing financial targets; payroll budgets and stock levels and making new product decisions.

Requirements
- You should have proven success in leading a medium to large team (4 people minimum)
- Experience of leadership in a food service environment
- Current food hygiene certificates would be useful
- Financial awareness and the ability to plan for financial success
- You will have proven exemplary customer service skills and be able to train others to be outstanding
- A passion for food and the desire and drive to be exceptional within the marketplace.
- You will be computer literate and good with numbers
- You will be able to take direction and be able to direct effectively yourself.
