Health and Safety Site Facilities Manager
The Role:
Reporting to the General Manager
Management of all health & safety aspects of the site to ensure the depot is a safe environment to in which to work through assessment and minimisation of risk
Ensure all health & safety procedures are communicated and displayed and all employees comply with the procedures
Management of site facilities to include the total business area, total land area, MHE equipment, refrigeration units, plant / machinery
Ensure compliance with legislative requirements
Management of the two-way communication process surrounding health & safety and site facilities with regular safety committee meetings
Management of the contractual operating environment
Produce statistical reports reflecting the sites health & safety performance
Management of accident investigations, ensuring all accidents / incidents are closed off effectively
Working with the client and the Customer to ensure that the Health & Safety audits meet the required standard year on year
The Person:
- Recognised health & safety qualification is essential
- Proven ability to implement and monitor health & safety initiatives
- Flexible approach with the ability to embrace change and accept responsibility
- Proven influencing skills
- Reliable, energetic and enthusiastic;
- Highly motivated with the ability to influence managers and colleagues to promote a safe culture
- Committed to ensuring that the depot achieves high performance standards and the efficient and effective provision of a quality service to stores and the customer;
- Experienced in team management, preferably in a warehouse environment;
