History In Film inaccurate entertainment?

Date posted: Thursday 17th July
Location: Park St

2 day course at the Folk House Summer School, 31 July/1 August 10-4 each day.

I'll be asking: can there be a greater truth than historical fact?

Films chosen are deliberately controversial historically:
Immortal Beloved - on Beethoven's mystery love
Titanic (97) - Just a Hollywood blockbuster?
Frida - on the Mexican artist
Quills - basing themes of censorship, redemption and culpability around an imfamous French writer

We'll watch clips, have some tutor input and discussion
(not anything disturbing from Quills!)

£42 - concessions available PLEASE BOOK ASAP

All bookings/queries to the Folk House 0117 9262987 ww.bristolfolkhouse.co.uk

NB This is from the freelance tutor, Elspeth Rushbrook,
not the Folk House
