Legal Secretary Exciting new Role
A successful law firm based in Central Bristol is looking to recruit an experienced legal Secretary to join their friendly team.
Your main responsibility will be to provide effective secretarial support for 2 solicitors within a busy family law department.
Duties
- Typing correspondence and documents
- General secretarial support
- Arranging meetings and appointments with clients on the phone
- Receiving phone calls from clients, solicitors, experts etc
- General administration and file management
Essential skills and competencies:
· Good typing skills
· Excellent organisational skills
· IT literate/ knowledge of Word
· Good telephone manner
· Team player/ good communication skills
The successful candidate will ideally have a self motivated and common sense approach to their work, showing enthusiasm and initiative.
Experience
Previous experience of working as a legal secretary in a busy work environment is essential, as is experience of working under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Ideally the successful candidate will have some experience in a family law or similar department.
Education
A good command of the English language is essential as are effective IT skills and basic numeric skills.
