Job Summary:
Isca are looking for an enthusiastic graduate Software Engineer with a passion for software development. You will work as part of a young, energetic team developing software for new and exciting projects with large customers. Your main responsibilities will be to assist in the development of innovative client-server software for Isca’s new touch screen kiosks and IP telephony solutions.
The role will give you real responsibility and the challenge of solving real world customer problems. You will be a part of a company backed by the prolific entrepreneur, Sir Terry Matthews, which rewards your hard work with shares in the company, in addition to a competitive salary.

Location:
Caldicot/Cwmbran, South Wales

Requirements:
• 2:1 or above in a Computer Science/Software Engineering related degree.
• Good understanding of the following languages and technologies:
o Java: including J2EE, Servlets, JSP (Spring, Hibernate, JUnit a bonus)
o Linux
o IP Networking
o Client-Server Architecture software development
o XML
o Unit Testing
• Basic understanding of the following languages and technologies:
o Web Technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, CMS, AJAX)
o C/C++/C#
o Microsoft Windows
o SQL databases
• Good understanding of the Object-Oriented programming model and Software Design Principles.
• General knowledge of Free Open Source Software (FOSS)
• High standard of spoken and written English.
