A project manager position with a main contractor who want to be known as local builder in many of the UK’s major towns and cities, they work for local authorities, schools, businesses and the leisure industry. Operating in the general building and maintenance segment of the construction market and their development activities are focused on the commercial and industrial property in areas where there is a proven demand.

This opportunity is suitable for individuals who are experienced and looking for exciting opportunies and want to be influential in managing site teams and systems and the ongoing implementation of processes. The position is inoperational aspect of the planned maintenance and major repairs programme for a local client.

The Key responsibilities are :

Managing the production team, creating operating systems for implementation, ensuring health and safety of all team members and residents, recruiting, mentoring and coaching local technicians in trade and customer service skills to ensure development of the team, effective management of supply chain and integration into the programme, managing the external client relationship.

Skills and competencies required are:

Passion for customer servoce, leadership skills, ability to work on own initatives, high level of accuracy, planning and programming skills on both a strategic level and project related level, meeting deadlines, true understading of the partnering process.

Person specification:

Essential requirements: previous involvement in planned maintenance programmes, skills in planning and programming, confidence in managing the resident liason process, good understanding of customer service levels and key performance indicators, able to lead effective meetings and manage delivery through others, ability to commuinicate with a diverse range of customers, residents, and supply chain, trade awareness and full understaning of heatlh and safety.

Desirable requirements: Record of delivery under previous framework programmes, HNC level qualification gained in a construction related discipline, IT literacy.

The candidate should also have a vlaid driving licence and have passed a CRB check
