Job Title: Principal Building Structures Technician
Location: Bristol
Salary: c£30-35k negotiable doe. + Benefits

Client: A UK leader in Infrastructure Development working on high profile, multi-disciplinary projects on an International basis.

Overview: Due to expansion and growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Principal Building Structures Technician to work within the Building Structures division of our client's Bristol office.

Key Objective: The principal function of this role is the preparation of structural engineering general arrangements, sections, R.C. details and schedules for steelwork, concrete, masonry and timber structures.

Key Responsibilities:
- Drawing/ document control and collation
- Simple design in steelwork, concrete and timber
- Management of a CAD Technician
- Preparation of structural engineering general arrangements and sections
- Preparation of R.C. details and schedules for steelwork, concrete, masonry and timber structures

Skills & Experience:
Essential;
- Experience of the preparation of drawings and details for New Build and Refurbishment building structures projects for private and public sector clients
- Construction industry experience
Desirable:
- Design experience in simple structural elements, and experience in undertaking condition surveys
- HNC/ONC/Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering
