Assistant Project Manager
A global engineering organisation, based to the south of Bristol, have an opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to produce project deliverables to specification and on schedule ensuring client satisfaction.
The APM will work supporting the Project Engineering Manager with the interface management process and deputise for the Project Manager as required, making sure that all necessary project functions (including HSE management, QA and risk assessment) are established and followed to ensure an effective and safe execution of the project scope of work. This will include supporting the manufacturing processes for their specific project assignments, producing and executing project plans, control of costs within budget and by communicating the project vision to the company to ensure ownership and commitment in other departments.
This role would suit someone from a Project Planning background or with some Project Management experience within the fields of engineering and manufacture, ideally also covering commercial, cost control and planning. You will need to be capable of multi-tasking and working to agreed schedules, have negotiation skills and must be able to communicate effectively including good spoken and written English. Computer knowledge and literacy should include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and Primavera (training can be given).
