"Get ready for Summer and try something new" is the message from a team of volunteers, who are arranging a special charity evening in north Bristol on 29th May.

The 2008 'Get Ready for Summer Fair’ will take place at the BAWA Leisure Club on Southmead Road, Filton from 6.30-9.30pm. Following the success of a similar event last year, which raised more than £1430 for the chosen charity, over 30 stall-holders are expected to attend, offering a range of product and services with plenty of ideas for pampering yourself or your family as you prepare for the summer sun!

The event will be packed full of ideas for health and beauty and holistic therapies and many gifts, jewellery and clothing will be on offer. To add to the fun there will be a bumper raffle with lots of prize treats too.

Entry to the Fair is £3 per person and all proceeds from ticket sales raised will go to the Bristol and Wales Cat Rescue, as well as enhancing the annual donation to this year's selected Airbus charity, Macmillan Cancer Support.

Caroline Jenkinson, who is arranging the evening as part of the Airbus "Charity Challenge" activities at the Filton-based company said: "Last year's Summer Beauty Fair proved so popular that it became our most successful fundraiser of the whole year. There has been a lot of demand for us to turn this into an annual event and to hold another.

“ As well as those who took part last time many new stalls, products and ideas are expected too, including style and shape analysis, holistic therapies like Indian head massage, henna body painting and photography parties to name just a few.

“We are very grateful to everyone who is supporting this year's event and are looking forward to an interesting and enjoyable evening for the whole family?"
