The Company:

The client is a specialist consultancy delivering structural engineering solutions for the off-site construction industry. They specialise in timber frames and cold formed steel structures in the residential, commercial and industrial fields.
The client is a firm of like-minded engineers and technicians trained in new ways of building and taking control of projects. It is recognised that success and best value are achieved by understanding the three essential components of the off-site assembled building i.e. client requirements, design integration and construction process.


The Role:
Opportunities exist in the Bristol office and they are now looking to recruit Structural Design Engineers. The client delivers structural engineering and drawing services on prefabrication and modular design, in timber and light steel frame. Projects range from 7-storey framed buildings to schools, hotels, houses and exhibition work.

Responsibilities include:
· Collecting information from architect, client and structural engineer
· Undertaking structural analysis and design of timber & light gauge steel frames
· Managing projects with the minimum of supervision
· Liaising with other members of project design teams
· Working with and directing production staff
· Delivering quality outputs on time



The Person:

Individual must have:

· A willingness to learn and appreciate the whole building design and build process
· A desire to be involved in the future methods of building
· The ability to work on your own initiative and to be proud of your work
· Strong communication skills, both within and outside of the company environment
· A Sound knowledge of structural analysis
· Computer literate
· A relevant degree
