A full-time permanent position for a Qualified Nursery Nurse has arisen in a Bristol Nursery to start as soon as possible. They are looking for a flexible, reliable individual with a warm personality to fit in well with their friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will be able to care for the children and encourage their learning but will not be afraid of getting "stuck in". Responsibilities will include:

· To assist the nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in care.
· To assist the base room manager in base room management activities such as training, organising themes and projects, and monitoring students.
· To ensure all daily routines are carried out and records kept up to date.
· To assist in maintaining a safe, clean and tidy base room.
· To ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented into the nursery.
· To appropriately console children if they get upset.
· To communicate with parents and other visitors in a calm, friendly and effective manner.
· To contribute to and participate in team meetings/activities.
· To attend any training courses as deemed necessary.
· To carry out any ad-hoc projects or duties as requested by manager.


Requirements

It is essential that you have previous experience working with children up to the age of 5 in a nursery setting. Cache Level 3 or equivalent is essential.
