CSV Environment involves people with little or no environmental experience in improving the areas where they live and work. Out2Play project in Bristol provides new opportunities for environmental play & education, overcoming some of the current gaps between children’s needs and current provision. A key element in the work programme is the delivery of Play Rangers and other play activity across South Bristol, along with the development of an outdoor game & training programme, Puzzle Island.
You will be sharing the leadership of a motivated and vibrant team, working to develop and deliver quality outdoor play and environmental education. This involves managing the work of Play & Learning Team including management of plans and budgets as well as staff, trainees, volunteers and sessional tutors. You will develop and deliver a programme of play activities in parks, green space and local community event, provide training in outdoor play leadership and develop the programme for recruitment, support and training opportunities for volunteers and trainees. In addition you will develop networking and new partnership opportunities and market and publicise CSV Environment.
You will enjoy working with children and have an excellent range of outdoor play, educational and management skills. You will adaptable, skilled and resourceful. Previous experience of managing projects, budgets and staff are essential, as is a track record of working in the play/education sector.
This is a fixed terms contract until November 2010, which may be extended subject to funding.
