BUDDY/NANNY’S WANTED FOR CHILD WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Location: Portishead

Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Basic- 3-7.30Mon-Thurs, 2-7.30 Fridays. Additional hours at weekends and during school holidays by arrangement.
Wage: Good rates of Pay for Right Person/s.

Committed, flexible person/s required as a buddy/carer for a bright 12 year old boy, with cerebral palsy. Duties to include collecting him from school; practical help with homework, such as scribing; assisting with some personal care- feeding, bathing, therapy (i.e. hydrotherapy) and engaging in fun activities with him. His interests include Chess, Playstation and Wi, Sport, and Horse-riding. On occasions this will also include his younger brother, aged 8 years.

Training will be given but practical relevant experience is desirable.
Applicants must be willing to be adaptable, caring, be able to relate to and understand 12 year old boys, and understand the particular demands of working in a family home.
An Enhanced CRB check and full references will be required.
Students may apply but applicants must have relevant work permits.
