Our client is a fast-growing, independent consultancy providing strategic analysis and intelligence services. Now recruiting full-time Application Developers to meet ambitious plans for further expansion of their bespoke intelligence analysis platform, ORA. You must have 5 years web application development experience, Including demonstrable examples using Web-services, XML Applications, RDF, Software tool integration via API, Expert Java programming, Tomcat, J2EE, Expert MySQL & PHP. A good Comp-Sci Degree or relevant work exp is required along good knowledge of GWT, project management or leadership, Scripting, Firefox addons, Google API, SQL, MySQL, RSS, KML/GML, WAMP and LAMP architectures, CSS, Visualisation technologies, software integration, Search engine technologies, web-crawling. NLP, AI. At least 2 of the following languages: XML, C, C+ , Javascript, JSON, Python, Perl, LISP, or even C#/.NET/ASP and VB
Desirable skills/understanding: Secure coding practice, Network security, Unix/Linux
Candidates must be prepared to undergo background security vetting.
