Commercial Business Manager - Rail

Job Description

Our client is a very successful provider of integrated public services, providing design capabilities, full project management as well as asset management consultancy to infrastructure services such as highways, railways and property sectors. 
The opportunity has arisen for a senior commercial business manager to support the Commercial Director in developing and implementing commercial strategies for successfully managing commercial activities in Inter Urban. (Rail & Highways)

Requirements

- Strong negotiation skills
- Commercial acumen developed by working for a company for public sector employees.
- Understanding the network rail suite of contracts.
- Understanding of the forms on contract used by the Highways Agency.
- Understanding recovery of compensation events and variations. Desirable

- Qualification in the quantity surveying field
- Degree or diploma in commercial management

Responsibilities

- Providing commercial support to deliver good p/l results
- Developing and implementing roll out of a robust valuation and change management process
- Support bid management for all commercial aspects of bidding.
- Supporting and adherence and roll out of commercial policy and systems.
- Support to post contract activity in various contractual situations post contract
