ASSISTANT/Deputy BAR MANAGER

We are a small privately owned company based in Bristol running a number of bars/pubs. We are currently recruiting an assistant/Deputymanager for the Hen & Chicken which is a large bar/venue based in Southville in south Bristol. The Hen & Chicken is also home to the Comedy Box (www.thecomedybox.co.uk) - 150 seat comedy club with performances by the likes of Mark Thomas, Ed Byrne & Al Murray. The Hen & Chicken also has a conference/function room catering for upto 60 people. We are very quality focused bar/venue in an upmarket residential area offering a freshly prepared menu, changing real ales and a number of wines by the glass and bottle.


As assistant/deputy manager you will possess excellent management and leadership skills, full knowledge of the Health, Safety & licensing laws and above all be passionate, enthusiastic and ambitious for self, team and the business.

Responsibilites of the role with include:

Staff training and peformance
Control of stock and cash
Growing and developing the business
Cellar management - (real ale exp essential)
Staff recruitment
Hands on floor/bar duties

Salary £16-£22K dependant upon poistion & exp
