My name is Charlie Brown and I'm currently studying at Bristols institute of Modern Music under the wing of great drummers such as Kieron Pepper (Ex-Prodigy/Dead kids) James Hester (Malakai/Groove Armada) and Jason Bowld (Pitch shifter/This is Menace. I frequently play across London and Bristol venues in a variety of styles and I'm also a free-lance session performer.

Lessons run at your pace tailored made for your individual needs These are relaxed and run for forty five minutes at my home on at Cheltenham road. We also study applying what you have learnt on an acoustic kit at Drum Bank on Gloucester road. This fast track course focuses on all styles of music particularly paying attention to the innovative drummers who continue to inspire today. I will take you through the Guildhall grade books giving you the opportunity to take grades if you so choose. We also work on the Moeller technique increasing your speed and consistency that help break the habits that a lot of self taught drummers pick up. This improves your flow and speed around the kit and helps you play to the next level with no hiccups along the way. We will use this innovative method to apply what you have learnt and develop your own drumming to make you an individual player and performer.

I have plenty of advice about performing live and recording in sessions including: breathing, controlling nerves, increasing stamina, getting the most out of your kit and sticks and how to get the best sound out of your kit.
