My client, who are a leading international research based consultancy, are currently looking for a Database and Web Developer to join their team who are based in Swindon. This position is for a 12-month fixed term contract (with the potential of continuing after this time).

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, combining a passion for database development and website innovation. You will ideally have proven commercial experience in designing databases and in developing dynamic data-driven web-based applications. It is also desirable for you to have experience of database administration, web-based mapping applications, application testing, system integration and cross-platform integration.

You must have a good working knowledge of SQL Server, ASP.NET, VB.NET/and or C#, as well as previous knowledge of some of the following SVG, Dreamweaver/Flash, DHTML, JavaScript, XML/XSLT.

You must be a team player, pro-active in solving problems, and be prepared to multi-task. You must also have excellent communication skills and pay close attention to detail, and have the desire to meet challenges head on.
