Tinnitus and Caffeine study

Here at the Centre for Hearing and Balance Studies at Bristol University we require participants who regularly drink caffeine and who sometimes experience tinnitus for a research project.

Phase 1 of the study is a screening questionnaire about your tinnitus , your diet and yourself. It takes about 20 minutes and you will be entered into a prize draw for £100 in vouchers for completing it.

Phase 2 of the study involves completing another questionnaire about your tinnitus and taking a free hearing test, if you want. We will ask you to withdraw from all your usual caffeine-containing products for 30 days. Instead, we will provide tea and/or coffee, which will contain caffeine on some days, but not others.
We will ask you to complete the questionnaires two more times and to mark a daily record about your symptoms (about 1 minute a day). We will offer you £25 in shopping vouchers in appreciation for your time.
