As a qualified teacher of secondary mathematics, I am able to offer reasonably priced* maths tuition for both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, as well as to 'more mature' students and those needing to re-sit. I can provide intensive preparation for Key Stage 3 SATs and GCSE examinations. I am fully conversant with the National Numeracy Strategy and the National Curriculum for mathematics. I am up to date with recent changes of most exam boards' mathematics syllabi & exam structure.

Since 1998, I have taught maths in a variety of secondary schools from inner-city to leafy suburbs and am experienced in teaching across the 11-16 ability range. I have successfully tutored many students privately, enabling them to fulfil their potential in KS3 SATs & GCSE (references can be provided, if required). I hold a current enhanced CRB disclosure.

I am a friendly, relaxed, approachable and professional tutor. As with classroom teaching, I believe that much of the maths being taught is more easily understood by the student if it is presented in accessible, contextual material with clear explanations and reasoning.
