I am in the begining stages of putting together a band/group together in the bristol area. I am an MC who has been working at it for around 5 years, my main influences are people like Nas, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Rakim etc etc but I listen to a lot of old Motown Blues and Reggae stuff. I want to come up with a Fugees uk style collective with live instruments. I'm not looking for experts it's all about sound rather than technical skill. I have a very experienced drummer with a home studio (we can practice there) on board a decent hiphop DJ and a couple singers interested (really need a bassist and someone on keys or strings of some description!).
