You have extensive experience in the Marine sector using BS6349 and other appropriate standards with detailed understanding of coastal processes and management of design and multi-disciplinary teams (both internal and external). We can offer you an opportunity to join a growing and dynamic multi-disciplinary team, working on a wide variety of projects from planning and feasibility to detailed design.
We need you to be a Chartered Engineer with strong design skills, an in-depth knowledge of BS6349, and experience in the management of design teams for a range of hard and soft marine structures, together with an understanding of the broader implications of marine and coastal development, including social, environmental and commercial issues. The ability to present strategic advice to clients and other professionals is essential so excellent communication and negotiating skills are required. You must have strong client skills and enthusiasm for business development to extend an already extensive client base.
Your basic duties will include the following:
• Project Management
• Design of coastal and maritime structures to BS6349
• Mentor and train more junior staff
• Communicate effectively with clients and contractors
• Financial Control of projects
• Business Development
