This high-tech electronics company are looking for an Software Support Manager for their Software Development Kit (SDK) with C and Assembler coding skills to work from their South West office (Bristol, Avon, M4 / M5 area).

To be considered you need to be educated to degree standard (at least 2.1 from a recognised University) in either Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or similar. This needs to also be coupled with in-depth professional experience in line with a Manager level position.

In this role you will organize and provide front-line support to users of the Company's SDK and to act as the interface between these users and the SDK development team. This will include solving technical issues encountered during the development process including debugging of algorithms / device drivers / firmware and application code (written in C and assembly). As such you need to be an ambassador of "best practice" in software design, implementation and debugging.

Skills wise you will need to have prior experience of software development using C / Assembly language in an embedded system context (particularly in RTOS based multi-threaded / multi-core environments). This should be coupled with the use of Linux-based development environment and tools including software analysis and debugging techniques (including use of hardware test equipment where appropriate).
