Swedish Massage

The Swedish massage course is the most well known form of full body massage, incorporating the back, legs, abdomen, arms, face and head for a complete treatment. You will be taught how to conduct a thorough client consultation, you will gain a full understanding of the contraindications and also what after care advice to provide. You will be taught how to conduct this massage in a safe and professional manner. Upon completion of the third day you will have learned how to conduct a full body massage using a variety of massage techniques. You will be given a comprehensive manual and certificate upon completion.

Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Lymphatic drainage is essentially a form of massage which unlike some other forms of massage, lymphatic drainage utilises a very light pressure combined with soft pumping movements in the direction of the lymph nodes. You will learn how to conduct this treatment massage safely and professionally also taking into account the importance in giving correct aftercare advice. You will also cover how to conduct a thorough consultation. **All students must have a Swedish Massage or Aromatherapy Massage Qualification prior to doing this course** You will be given a comprehensive manual and certificate upon completion.

Facials

Facials and skin exfoliation are an important part of general skin maintenance. You will learn deep cleansing, exfoliation, moisturising, mask application, and massage procedures. Also the A&P of the face and skin, how to conduct a consultation and provide aftercare advice. This is a much sought after qualification in the beauty industry and something great to offer clients who regulary have a face massage. You will be given a comprehensive manual and certificate upon completion.

Indian Head Massage

This Indian Head Massage covers the anatomy of the face, back & shoulder muscles. You will also cover all of its benefits and contraindications. You will be taught how to conduct this massage in a safe and professional manner. You will learn how to conduct a thorough consultation, provide sound after care advice. You will be given a comprehensive manual and certificate upon completion.


Manicure & Pedicure

This course will teach you the principles of Manicure and Pedicure and how to apply them practically using safe, hygienic, effective methods of practice. You will cover anatomy and physiology of the nails and skin and learn how to conduct a thorough consultation and provide sound aftercare advice. You will be shown how to do a paraffin wax treatments to really spoil your clients. Your clients will leave feeling pampered and confident knowing their hands and nails look fantastic. You will be given a comprehensive manual and certificate upon completion.

• All our courses can be studied by students of all ages and academic levels and a qualification in Anatomy & Physiology is not required. ***
• You only need to bring yourself a packed lunch, the rest we provide: chairs, towels, therapy tables, oils, music, course notes, certificate and candles etc

*** Swedish Massage does requre an A&P qualification or for you to be working towards one. I can point you in the right direction of A&P diplomas you can do at home ie, correspondence/distant learning courses. You can do your Swedish training and I can give you your certificate upon completion of your A&P. A prerequisite for Lymphatic is to have the swedish or armomatherapy massage certificate.
