Winners of the Time Best Big Companies To Work For 2009 and 2008 are recruiting for Intelligent Transport Solutions design engineers. The client provides services for the public sector and provides better everyday services to customers and communities.
The Traffic Operations and Technology teams deliver specialist highways technology expertise to a wide and varied client base. Projects range from small improvement tasks to medium-sized technology projects as well as strategic and urban work. With rapid growth within the division, exciting opportunities exist for the right individual to occupy a key role in the development of the business.
Applicants will be accountable for the conception, production and delivery of high quality ITS project designs to not only meet, but exceed the client's expectations. A technical authority in your specialist area you will be responsible for the commercial performance of projects to ensure a cost effective delivery to an agreed programme. You will be required to establish plans and requirements by ensuring suitable resources are in place. You will provide a visible and tangible leadership to staff.
Applicants are preferred to be Chartered engineers with an Electrical, Electronic or Civil Engineering degree and will have significant higher level experience, alongside an excellent working knowledge of relevant standards and Highways Agency communication systems. You will be commercially aware and able to demonstrate experience of design and implementation of multiple concurrent projects over a range of values.
