COMMERCIAL VEHICLE TECHNICIAN

We are looking for a qualified Commercial Mobile Vehicle Technician for a very busy recovery/transportation organisation to be based in Bristol.

Salary OTE £25,000 - £28,000 (Exceeds minimum hourly rate)

A minimum of 5 years experience as a qualified motor vehicle technician with excellent diagnostic skills and good quality awareness. Along with City & Guilds 1 & 2 qualifications in Motor Vehicle Studies or equivalent NVQ levels 2 & 3.

Experience of working in a similar environment where reliance is placed upon individuals carrying responsibility for their actions. Excellent customer care skills are essential along with the ability to exercise initiative and prioritise duties accordingly.

The ideal candidate must hold a full United Kingdom HGV Class II driving license and be able to work to a high standard against agreed timescales with limited supervision.

Duties: To diagnose faults and vehicles utilising equipment availble and using recongnised test procedures and tecniques,including road testing where deemed necessary.
To observe, recognise and report on defects and/or symptoms of impending failure.
To ensure the correct completion of all jobs related documentation (Job,cards,parts,orders,logbooks ect.) including job write ups.
