An excellent opportunity have arisen for experienced Rating Surveyor to negotiate and settle Rating Appeals, providing Rating advice to clients and identify opportunities to expand within the rating field. The client is one of the fastest growing and successful companies within the Surveying sector.
My client can proudly boast successes for over 10,000 clients within this rating list and over £500m in client savings achieved. This client base includes many High Street and Blue Chip entities such as Ascot Racecourse, Imperial War Museum, TGWU, HSS Hire Shops, Royal Liver Assurance, Ping, P&O Ferrymasters, Weatherbys Bank and Select Retail.
Candidates should be highly self motivated and possess an extremely professional manner. Strong organisational skills are also essential, along with a desire to achieve results through the negotiation and settlement of rating appeals. An extensive knowledge of Rating is required, with experience through settlement of appeals ideally in the 2005 Rating List, or 2000 Rating List as a minimum. Ability to comply with strict Quality Control procedures, strong negotiation skills, and client facing abilities are necessary. Rating is about Valuation, Valuation is about opinion. Negotiation can change opinions.
Representation at Valuation Tribunal, and beyond where necessary will stand the right candidate in good stead. Commercial acumen is a prerequisite to ensure clients are given the best advice.
This vacancy will mainly be a home based position.
Salary is circa £45k
