THE JOB (job description and person specification available on request)
To work within the Site Operations team to help maintain safe and welcoming access to all of the services and facilities provided by Windmill Hill City Farm, and to ensure the security of the whole site during both open and closed times. This means ensuring that the site is clear of hazards, that booked facilities are clean, safe and ready for use and that the locking up procedures are followed.


THE HOURS
We need someone who can work 30 hours per week, on various weekdays from 3.00pm – 10.00pm and at weekends from 3.00pm till 9.00pm. The team covers holiday and sickness, so there may be an occasional need to work from 7.30am – 3.00pm. The Farm is staffed 365 days of the year.

WHAT DOES THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT NEED?
• proven experience of caretaking and / or customer focused work
• experience of dealing with a wide range of people calmly and professionally
• the ability to use their own initiative and plan their own workload, within the needs of the team
• the ability to carry and move items (to enable them to take deliveries and set up rooms)
• the ability to undertake cleaning duties and use the associated equipment
• good verbal communication skills and a basic level of literacy and numeracy
• a helpful and co-operative attitude
• the ability to provide some holiday and sickness cover
• satisfactory references and CRB check (to be undertaken by Windmill Hill City Farm)
