Set in outstanding scenery overlooking the Viaur Gorge this beautifully restored former fermette offers traditional architecture whilst providing all the modern comforts of home. The farm complex with its own pool is in a small hamlet located on the border of the Aveyron and Tarn departments offering easy access to all that these fabulously unspoilt departments have to offer.

Coquelicot and Tournesol are both large gites in their own right but their unique layout means that they are ideal for larger families or parties of friends sharing. Both gites have their own bathrooms and shower rooms, fully fitted kitchens and lounges. Imagine two lounges - one for adults and one for the kids! The properties can be interconnected at ground level and first floor level which makes sharing extremely easy and adds to the versitility of the sleeping arrangements. There are 5 bedrooms in total in the combined gites - they are large rooms and sleeping arrangements can easily be adjusted to suit the needs of the group. All bedrooms are large enough to work as doubles or twins with space for cot and two of the rooms can be used as triples. Outside-eating again allows for flexible arrangements with space to combine tables for the whole group if wished. We also have two large picnic tables which makes for great eating outside with wonderful views. The large 12m by 6m pool means there is plenty of space for family fun and a serious swim and the two children's play areas keep the children occupied for hours.

All of the rooms are large enough to be used as doubles or twins. Two of the rooms can be used as family or triple rooms, one is ideal as a quadruple. All arrangements are flexible just ask.
Both gites have seating for 6 which can be arranged to seat the whole party of 12+

There is a separate laundry just alongside the properties - keeps the washing and cleaning things out of the way!

Change of bedding and towels are supplied mid stay for two week bookings.

Pool is shared with the owners who are usually resident on site.

There are many childrens videos available - we ask visitors to bring their own DVD's.

Situated half way between the historic departmental cities of Rodez and Albi means easy access to both of these fabulous cities which provide wonderful architecture, rambling backstreets and dozens of pavement cafes and restaurants to suit all pockets. In the immediate area are a number of bastide towns, Sauveterre, Monesties, and of course the well know Cordes-sur-Ciel.

Walking -The countryside around the property offers superb walking environments with a whole wealth of flora and fauna. Waymarked paths are accessible from the property.

Cycling - not for the novice, but the quiet country roads offer serious cyclists an ideal area to explore.
Children - we are 20mins from the Cap de Couverte complex - an amazing convertion of a disused opencast mine, offering dryslope skiing, skateboard/bike park, luge, longest zip -line ride in europe,swimming, horseriding and waterskiing. 15mins from a large lake offering a beach, supervised swimming areas, windsurfing, sailing, fishing + canoeing. 4 mins away from Viaur river for fishing and canoes to hire.

There are numerous animal parks and small zoos in easy reach, including the unique Micropolis insect park. There are local horse riding schools for trekking. And during the high season there is a market available on a daily basis at one of the nearby towns, including nocturnal farmers markets
