Fast growing IT support firm require a 1st Line Engineer to work with a range of clients in the south west area (Bristol, Bath, Chippenham, Swindon).

Requirements as follows:
Technical;
1. Some networking fundamentals - TCP/IP, NAT,SMTP/POP
2. Solid PC - XP/Vista experience
3. Ideally Windows server and ideally Exchange support experience – not necessarily installing.
4. Familiar with standard windows AD and Exchange administration – creating users etc.
Personal
1. Own car with full license.
2. Have level of flexibility with regard to outside hours working.
3. Be able to work on own initiative
4. Have a “can do attitude”
5. Be able to communicate clearly orally and via writing to staff, suppliers and clients.
6. Understand clients IT priorities and their impact on their business.
7. Understand and display true customer service principals – i.e. doing what you say you will do, understanding their point of view, changing their style of communicating in order to be understood; remaining calm at all times; knowing when to escalate a problem to a manager.
8. Can handle routine - Complying with routine processes – i.e. backup checks, logging calls etc
9. Enthusiasm for making our clients lives better via technology.
10. Getting a sense of satisfaction from doing a good job and/or pleasing the client.
11. Tenacious when dealing with difficult tech problems - able to find the answer somehow. (I.e. seeking help from 3rd party support, engaging other engineers, etc.

13. Have sense of humour and be able to work as a team.
14. Want to work in a small team.
15. Potential – able to acquire new skills quickly; become an irreplaceable asset for .
