My beautiful budgie is looking for flock to join.
She is a friendly budgie. Orginally called Herbie because we thought she was a 'he.'
Really all I am looking for is to rehome her with other budgies.
Recently her partner died, though she has adjusted, and is happy, I cannot give her the attention she needs (she is a social animal, though doesn't get the chance to really exercise this enough) as I have recently moved out.
She is loved very much, and is a beautiful soul. Very intelligent. Very willing to trust. She can be defensive, but I believe it's part of her character, she is female afterall and knows what she likes.
She hasn't had much experience with other birds, but I feel a flock would be the best place for her. I'm sure she'd adjust and would enjoy the activity. She is very inquistive, watching from a distance, but responds well.
She is 5 years old, finger tame, healthy, easygoing, quite confident and has never bred.
I hate to think she'll die in a cage, lonely. She is a such a beautiful bird.
She IS happy, AND loved, my family all talk to her. She whistles, and used to talk (which was why orginally I thought she was probably a male) but doesn't now. Though I KNOW she still knows how. Chirps a lot, but takes her time to do the small things like preening and eating, watching what's going on.
She's very intelligient and curious.
An AVIARY would be ideal. Someone with experience. Someone to understand where she has come from and intergrate her into something more natural. She has so much potiential, and if I cannot see to it that she gets the attention she deserves from humans, I would rather see her happy with other birds, busying around and part of something more significant for her.
