Technical Claims Handler
Location: Bristol
Salary: £15,000 - £21,000


An excellent opportunity has opened up within an Insurance Company in Bristol for 2 Personal Injury claims handlers to join an experienced team. Your role will be to handle a caseload of Third Party Personal Injury claims from inception through to settlement.


Responsibilities:


Handling third party personal injury claims in a cost effective manner
Deciding on legal liability and policy liability issues
Compliance with all regulatory and internal systems controls
Identifying cases which may be suitable for the group fraud and rehabilitation programmes
Initiating and co-ordinating investigations into liability and quantum
Negotiating with claimants and their representatives
Reviewing and estimating on current claims files
Handling litigation and fraud cases


Skills:


First class written and verbal communication skills
Experience in dealing with claims, preferably including personal injury claims
Sound judgement and strong negotiating skills
The ability to meet challenging deadlines and department quality and service standards
The ability to work in a team environment
