Software Architect
Required: C# / Vb.net / Oracle Technical Architect
Role:
Based in Bristol a position has arisen within a market leading organisation for a technical architect to join a leading financial services organisation.
The successful candidate will be a part of a large transformation to the current business services migrating to a new platform that will include customer self-service, electronic interfaces and a large volume of automation.
The appropriate applicant will be responsible for ensuring business requirements are understood and that technical specifications are developed in line with business best practice. Working with the .Net framework in a Windows 2003 and Oracle/SQL Server environment, you will be hands-on and comfortable enough to handle local time-sensitive trouble shooting and maintenance for applications in use. A proven track record of product and project management methodologies to ensure solutions are produced on time, on specification and within budget. Knowledge of working with off-shore development teams will prove invaluable, as will the ability to develop strategy/requirements/direction and provide ongoing product management/support.
Principle skills:
Commercial track record of design with .Net, C# and/or VB.Net for enterprise applications.
The ability to understand and analyse business requirements as well as conceptualise new products/features.
Knowledge configuring and deploying web applications on IIS, COM+.
UML
Relational Database Modelling (RDBMS).
Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Object Oriented analysis, design and development
SOAP and/or Web Services
UI and the ability to introduce new development tools.
