Customer Service Officer
Activities
- Be the first point of contact for customers in the branch in order to deal with and action either a range of general banking/account enquiries/concerns and/or specific service/product enquiries
- Follow security protocol to identify customer
- Identify where the Bank can help the customer (and directing them on to the appropriate service area when they cannot assist)
- Pursue potential sales leads
- Contact customers to discuss opportunities to help them and arrange appointments
- Update customer file and/or diary system after each action
- Action postal/fax/e-mail correspondence where necessary
- Prepare batches of work for processing off-site
- Liaise with and/or refer calls to other internal departments/external parties where necessary
- Where appropriate balance cash at end of day
- Sales Lead Generation rates (either from live leads or system prompts)
- To log/deal with set number of customer concerns weekly
- To balance daily (for those involved in cashiering duties)
- Adherence to compliance procedures
- Where appropriate - to book a set number of appointments
- Salary from £11,500 - £15,000 pro rata (dependent on experience)
- Quarterly bonus of up to £800.
- In addition to your salary you would receive an additional 15% of salary as benefit funding instead of a traditional pension plan*.

Part time role for 2/3days a week including Saturdays.
- Branches are open between 09:00 17:00, Monday Friday
- A selection of branches are open Saturdays 09:00 15:30
- Weekend working may be required

- Verification of previous 2 years activity
- Proof of right to work within the UK- either a valid EU passport or birth certificate and proof of National Insurance number, or valid Passport stamped with the UK work permit visa that confirms current right to work within UK.
- Current utilities bill or bank statement with your address on it and dated within the last 6 months. (council tax bills can be within 12 months)
- Current payslip dated within the last 3 months, or a P45 or P60 if dated within the last 3 months
- If you have less than 2 years work experience because you have recently left education please provide documentation regarding academic qualifications obtained within this period
