Business Development Manager

Due to expansion plans within Drake International we seek, at a senior level, an experienced individual, with specific responsibility for Business Development within the Ports arena.
As Business Development Manager you will have a broad remit with responsibility for expanding the company's existing presence within the Ports industry on a national basis. You will develop sales in support of the current and future business needs of the Company, and will represent the Company in new business ventures, proposals and tenders as required.
The successful candidate will have excellent business acumen & business development skills, rounded business experience, and good negotiation and people skills. He/she will ideally hold a degree, or equivalent, in an appropriate technical or business discipline and have a minimum of five years' field sales experience, gained within either Recruitment, HR or the Ports industry.
Excellent reasoning, problem solving and communication skills are essential, as well as experience in negotiating and presenting to senior management/director level.
Previous selling of Recruitment Solutions or another sector with a consultative approach to the Ports industry would be ideal, however knowledge of the industry with Senior Sales experience without Recruitment would also be considered.
Location is flexible and could be home based. The remuneration package for this position is competitive - £30k+ depending on experience 28 days holiday, laptop, phone.
