These Spendor SP1 speakers were £1,000 in the 70's.
Still changing hands for well in excess of £500. That's because they are still of the best free standing speakers ever made.
They come with special stands on "points" top and bottom to eliminate vibration and get perfect sound.
Post SP1 in a search engine and read!

A Nikko NA-360 140 watt amplifier is included. The speakers are capable of handling twice the power of the amp but we would only expect that sort of loudness at the race track :-)

This set has been "show only" for the last 10 years since I moved into a flat where it wouldn't be neighbourly to "use" them.
