Our Vocal Improv Sessions are all about having fun with the voice and seeing what you can do as a singer... there are no boundaries and nothing is wrong in the sessions!

The sessions are not about the voice training (as we do in our one to one lessons and courses) but are just to make use and have fun with our voices, make up songs on the spot and experiment with new ideas of melody and harmony as a group. You'd be suprised how much can come from just a few chords!

This an inspiring opportunity to meet other musicians and sing as both part of a group and as a soloist. We create on-the-spot song structures, 3 or 4 part harmonies and improvise solos with simple sounds or lyrics. This is great for songwriters, a huge part of songwriting is about improvisation and this is perfect to get that creativity flowing!

We usually have a backline of drums, piano and bass, but if you are a guitarist or another instrumentalist, please come along and contribute too, you'd be suprised how improvising with other singers and musicians can make a difference to your playing! Its great practice too!

Every session is different! Due to it being totally improvised on the day and every new member adds their own style to it. Sometimes we start the chords on piano and other times I get one of the musicians to start off, giving us totally different ideas to sing to!

Jam sessions are on Wednesday evenings and the next course starts on Thursday evening at 7pm starting 5th November.

Sessions are just £10 for the hour and the courses are £60 for 4 weeks of 2 hours.
