Property Recovery Technical Expert
For this role Central Appointments is acting as an Employment Agency
Our client is looking for an experienced Property recovery technical expert, to become an expert and provide technical know-how on cases handled by the Property Recovery team, whose work involves outlay recovery claims for property insurers. Claims arise out of a variety of building failures including fires, floods, poor workmanship, faulty services, subsidence, and landslip. Liability may arise out of an equally wide range of causes of action, including breach of contract, consumer protection legislation, negligence, tort and nuisance.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Managing your own caseload of outlay recovery claims, using our case management system to progress these;
2. Researching and advising the Team on any technical and legal issues relevant to the work;
3. Becoming an expert in technical, legal and practical issues relevant to the work;
4. Mentoring less experienced case handlers on technical aspects of their cases;
5. Taking over conduct of more complex claims, if appropriate.
