F5 Load Balance Network Engineer
My client is a large global company who are looking for a Senior Network Engineer, responsible for the day to day management of the network infrastructure. To include, but not exclusive of; network circuits, routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN's, Internet transits and vendor access through to new solution deployments as well as Data Centre expansions and creations.
Knowledge and Experience
This is a 'hands on' technical role, so an operational technical background will be required.
Relevant Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIP would be highly beneficial, however at least 3+ years of relevant proven working experience in a Networking role, working predominantly in an advanced Datacentre network environment.
Demonstrable experience in networking hardware - Routing & Switching, Load-balancers, Firewalls and VPNs.
Good TCP/IP troubleshooting abilities via the use of tcpdumps and GUI oriented network sniffers.
Demonstrable understanding of how servers, applications, storage solutions work in a Datacentre/.com network environment.
* Understanding of VPN technologies in Cisco firewalls and routers, to include both 3DES and AES.
* Proven firewall experience is required specifically in Netscreens OS 6.1 and Cisco FWSM OS 3.6.
* Understanding of local load balancing methods is very desirable, specifically F5 and to a lesser degree Cisco ACE.
* Understanding of global load balancing methods is very a must, specifically F5.
* Prior use of BMC Remedy
