You will be working closely with the developers within a team of about 25 developers/ designers Business Analysts and PMs as well as testers. The company is expanding and seeking a Lead .NET Software Developer who has a proven track record of internet development, technical design and successful project delivery. Ideally you will have a minimum of 3 years ASP.NET and this would be your 2nd or 3rd job. If you have any Front end JavaScript or back end database experience so much the better, Working in an Agile or Scrum environment would be nice too . This is a technical lead role with involvemnet of mentoring more junior staff though isnt a managerial position.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Lead .NET Software Developer you will:

Take a lead technical role on projects
•

Provide technical consultancy to project teams
•

Work on architecting and technically designing company products
•

Provide key hands-on development skills to projects
•

Support project estimation and planning
•

Work towards Microsoft certification to support companies Microsoft Partnership
You will fill a key role on an ‘Agile’ development team, ensuring that the technical solutionmeets the business needs. You will typically be working as part of a multi-skilled team including project management, business analysis, test and creative design team members.

Experience:

The following skills are required:

Demonstrate a detailed practical knowledge of Microsoft products and technologies,
specifically:

o

.NET framework 1.1 and 2.0
o

ASP.NET using C# in Visual Studio.NET or VB
o

SQL Server 2000 and 2005 design and development
o

XML and XSLT
o

Web Services
o

AJAX
•

Demonstrate an understanding of Service Oriented, Object based and Component
based modelling, design and development

•

Be a confident technical leader
o

Provide mentoring and technical leadership for developers
o

Have good inter-personal skills
o

Have good written and verbal communication skills

Have proven team working and team leading abilities

Demonstrate an understanding of development methodologies, ideally with a
background of Agile development

Demonstrate a track record of successful software delivery of complex large scale
web development projects

Build automation/scheduling software (NAnt, MSBuild, CruiseControl.NET)

Experience of other web platforms/technologies such as PHP/MySQL, J2EE/Oracle

Understanding of hardware and infrastructure, including security
